Dundee Tigers 10 - North Ayrshire Wild 3

Tigers got back to winning ways on Sunday night with an emphatic 10-3 victory over the visiting North Ayrshire Wild.

Tigers got the scoring underway in the 7th minute as Daniel Topping linked up with Grant Reekie and Stuart Sinclair to put one on the board. The visitors struck back in the 12th minute as Alan Maitland took advantage of a rare goalkeeping error to restore parity. Richy Fox popped up to give the hosts a lead just 3 minutes later before Topping double the lead and his own tally with a blasted shorthanded goal to end the periods scoring.

Matty Michie in the Tigers Goal was tested early in the second period but pulled of a fine save to ensure the hosts retained their lead. Mark McLeod hit the metalwork before Topping rounded off his hat-trick in the 26th minute. Evergreen Paul Guilcher notched another shortie for the hosts, slotting home through the 5-hole on the halfway mark of the game. He added his 2nd and the Tigers 6th shortly after before Grant Reekie got on the scoresheet. Guilcher added his 3rd with 2 minutes remaining in the period to complete a hattrick in just 8 minutes.

With the Tigers in full control of the game Matt Landsburgh replaced Matty Michie in the home goal. A nervy start to the period saw the Wild start a comeback with 2 goals in the opening 5 minutes before the Tigers steadied the ship. Steve Turnbull notched Tigers 9th with 5 minutes remaining and Reekie took the hosts to double figures with his second of the night after some neat link up play with Topping and Guilcher.

Tigers have an away double header next weekend as they face the Edinburgh Capitals in the Autumn Cup Semi Final next Saturday in Murrayfield before heading west on Sunday to play the Wild in North Ayrshire.
