Tigers travelled to Braehead to face The Paisley Pirates last night on the trail of some much needed SNL Points. After an impeccably observed minutes silence in recognition of Remembrance Sunday the match got underway. Early opportunities fell to the hosts but the Tigers soon settled in, ringing the metalwork on several occasions but it was the hosts who would find the net for the only goal of the period, Stuart Miller scoring in the 16th minute. An early 2nd period marker for Graham McCamley doubled the Pirates lead but in the 25th minute Grant Reekie pulled one back for the determined Tigers. A ding dong period saw both teams create chances without ringing the bell until Scott Marr found the net for the Tigers to set up a 2-2 scoreline heading in to the final stanza. Tigers were hit by the all too familiar penalty woes in the 3rd period and the Pirates took advantage just 30 seconds after the re-start as Chris Wilson slotted home on the PP. Scott Cowan restored the hosts 2 goal lead before the 5th minute was out and left the Tigers chasing the game as the clock counted down. The comeback was not to be though as Graham McCamley completed his hat-trick with a pair of Powerplay goals in the final 5 minutes. While the Pirates can celebrate claiming the booty Tigers must now focus on the visit of North Ayr to DIA next Sunday (faceoff 6:30pm)
